About MOSE

Helping leaders find their North Star.

Shelby Maxwell

Founder

Every organization has a strategy. Very few have a system for making it real.

Shelby Maxwell founded the Maxwell Office of Strategic Execution after years inside enterprise healthcare organizations, where she watched brilliant strategies stall for the same reasons everywhere: unclear priorities, diffuse ownership, and leaders stretched too thin to drive the follow-through themselves.

Her career spans operational excellence, PMO leadership, and executive partnership — the disciplines that live in the gap between what leadership decides and what organizations actually do. That gap is where MOSE works.

As a functional Chief of Staff and strategic execution partner, Shelby gives executives what they rarely have: a trusted operator whose entire job is making sure the things that matter actually happen. Clarity gets created. Owners get named. Meetings end in decisions. Initiatives move every week.

The compass in the MOSE mark isn’t decoration. It’s the promise: when growth, complexity, or change make it hard to see the way forward, MOSE helps leaders find their North Star — and build the systems to follow it.

How we work

The principles behind the practice

Clarity over complexity

If a strategy can't be explained in a sentence, it can't be executed by a team. We simplify relentlessly.

Ownership over activity

Busy isn't the goal. Every initiative gets one clear owner, and every meeting ends in decisions — not just discussion.

Momentum over perfection

Organizations change by moving. We'd rather ship a good decision this week than a perfect one next quarter.

Partnership over prescriptions

We don't drop a binder and leave. We work beside your leaders until the systems run without us.

Curious whether we’d work well together? Start with the Compass Check or a Compass Session.

Let's find your North Star.

A discovery call costs nothing — and it's often the moment leaders realize how much clearer things can be.
